  • Experience

Richard grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Immediately after high school he was accepted into the U.S. Navy Band as a trombonist and even did some feature singing with the band. While in the Navy Band Richard became interested in radio, enrolled in the Tidewater School of Broadcasting, and quickly landed his first radio job in Norfolk, VA.

Radio was the mainstay of Richard's career for a number of years with jobs in Harrisonburg, VA, Charlotte, NC, Birmingham, AL, Jackson, MS, Tampa, FL, and Houston, TX. He has been a top rated radio personality, successful program director, and manager at some of the nation's most prestigious radio stations.

His first love has always been voice talent and audio production. Now, after years of working for others, Richard is going it alone and doing what he does best and loves most. The growth of his voice-over business has been rapid and remarkable. Richard said, "My only regret is not launching this venture sooner."

Richard has taught and directed many aspiring radio personalities and voice actors who have gone on to enjoy rewarding professional careers. Today, he continues to use his unique abilities and proven methods to teach, challenge, motivate, and encourage through private instruction and seminars.

Richard has just completed narrating and editing the audio book version of "The Holy Gospels in One" by Andre Dell'Erba. The book is a word for word narrative of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John combined in a single chronological account with relating notes and commentary from the author. The publisher is Llumina Books and the audio version is available at audible.com.

Previously Richard recorded the 3 books from the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri for Typecast Audio Books.
